Welcome - An introduction
Prior to considering any courses please be aware that Forth Power Marine Training is closing for all practical courses on 31st August 2026 and all theory based courses on 30th September 2026. This is due to retirement.
Forth Power Marine Training is a Royal Yachting Association Recognised Training Centre that is owned and managed by Brian Suddon. Brian brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his service in the Royal Navy, Police Marine Unit and RNLI.
The school operates throughout the year from Port Edgar Marina, South Queensferry.
Forth Power Marine Training provides practical, theory and online training. If you own a power boat or are looking to purchase a power boat, have a career in the marine industry or just want to brush up on your skills, you’ve come to the right place!
We specialise in going the extra mile and can provide bespoke training to suit your needs.
